I hope this is what Dean wants. Welcome everyone to a pic of my Google Reader!!!! On this document I have {if you look to the bottom left} my subscriptions to all of my classmates, the 455 students, as well as other blogs. Also on the page, is some of the updates from those blogs. YAY!! As for widgets {part of the assignment} I couldn't really find any, but I did add Google Reader to my igoogle account. Which is great because I can access it without signing into google reader { I have also made my igoogle my homepage}.
I find this Google Reader VERY useful! Not only does it keep you networked with your friends but can be used productively in the classroom as well. Let's start with inclusive education; the gifted learner. Having specific sites subscribed to on a google reader account would allow that student to keep in contact with those who are not in the school to further their interest and learning. How about the average student? With subscribing to different blogs your students can create their own network of aquaintences. The things that your students could learn from others around the world. Plus it is practical. Why read the stories in the news, or other resources, when they can be reading on topics that are of interest to them?
There are many different applications of Google Reader and I would love to learn more.
